Student & Young Professional Effective Networking Workshop

Date/Time: Wednesday 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This orientation will be a great opportunity for students and young professional to settle into conference mode and familiar themselves with the conference content. This orientation will last about 20-30 minutes, giving attendees the run-down of the conference agenda, list of events they can attend, and ideas to help them feel more comfortable there. After the orientation, you’ll get to hear tips and tricks on networking, developing an effective resume, interview tips, and more. This event will take place before Opening Session of the conference, so attendees can kick it off with confidence.

Tinker, our guest speaker, is Director of the Bureau of Economic Geology, the State Geologist of Texas, and a professor in the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin. Tinker is the coproducer for several documentaries and the founder of the Switch Energy Alliance. Tinker is also the voice of EarthDate, which is featured on NPR. The title of his talk is "A Truly Clean Global Energy Transition."
